According to story in the latest issue of Wired Magazine Amazon is close to scanning every one of the 120,000 books in its catalogue and making every single page searchable. When searching for books you can now see inside them - ie see the text on any and every page - and read a couple of pages eiether side of any reference it has found to your search term.
So now you can find information which relates to your search which is currently hidden behind the title on the cover, the name of the author and/or the description...
Perhaps we can do this with the many books published in and about Brighton & Hove. Look at the local Library's searchable catalogue to see how handy it could be to see inside books in this way...
